What is a Student Ambassador?

A Student Ambassador is a member of the student body. They can be undergraduate or postgraduate, UK or international students. Rose Bruford College students represent our diverse student body, both in the UK and Internationally. 

Potential Student Ambassadors apply for the role and, if successful, are paid monthly by the college to undertake a set number of paid hours of work. This work might include: 

  • On- and off-campus presentations, e.g. Open Days, Webinars, School Visits, Industry Events
  • Tours for potential students on Campus 
  • Creation of content for the Bruford website or social media

Student Ambassador Training and Support  

New College Student Ambassadors will undertake a mandatory Induction programme.  

Are you interested in applying to be a Student Ambassador? 

If you are interested in applying to be a Rose Bruford College Student Ambassador, you must:  

  1. Have the Right to Work in the UK and hold supporting documentation: Employers’ right to work checklist (accessible) – GOV.UK  
  2. Undertake the mandatory training (if successful at application) before undertaking any work

To apply for the role please follow these steps:

  1. Read the Job Description
  2. Complete the Application Form. As part of this you will need to prepare a supporting statement (max word count 500) highlighting your skills, experience, any relevant extra-curricular activities, what you can bring to this role and why you would be a great Student Ambassador
  3. Complete the Equal Opportunities Form
  4. Submit your paperwork to [email protected] by the published deadline below

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 15th October at 11.59pm – no applications will be accepted after this deadline.

Please note: The College reserves the right to reject applications on the following grounds: 

  • Incomplete application form 
  • Attendance concerns 
  • Prior record of College Policy violation and disciplinary action 
  • Incomplete mandatory online training 

If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to an interview with the Student Ambassador Lead. These will take place between Wednesday 16th and Monday 21st October. Once the interview process has been passed, the right-to-work checks have been completed, and the completed training has been confirmed, Student Ambassadors for the Academic Year 2024/25 will be confirmed via the People and Talent team.
