Graduate Ray Fearon stars in RSC's 'Julius Caesar'
Ray Fearon, graduate and Fellow of the College, plays Mark Antony in Gregory Doran’s thrilling production of Julius Caesar for the Royal Shakespeare Company, which translates Ancient Rome to modern Africa. Ray Fearon plays Mark Antony with a dangerous charisma and deftly shows the character’s transformation, after Caesar’s murder, from an athletic playboy into a sharp political operator with a gift for oratory. The famous funeral oration is delivered with consummate skill, passion and originality.
The production, universally praised by the critics and audiences during its run at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre at Stratford-upon-Avon, will transfer to the Noel Coward Theatre, London, on the 8th August to 15th September, followed by a UK tour. The production was also filmed and shown on BBC4 as part of the BBC’s Shakespeare Season.
